Kathleen Isabelle Dooley Marits

ANGIER – Kathleen Isabelle Dooley Marits died peacefully in Transitions Hospice Home in Raleigh, NC on January 26, 2017 at the age of 88. Kathleen was born in New York on October 12, 1928 to Colonel William Dooley and Caroline Dooley. She graduated college in 1951 and married Roland Martis in 1952. Kathleen resided in Manhasset, Long Island before retiring to Somers, NY. She taught elementary school in New York for many years and especially loved teaching art. Kathleen enjoyed politics and was an active member of the Republican Party in Somers, NY. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 10th at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Ave., Hawthorne, NY 10532. All are welcome to come and celebrate Kathleen’s life. Arrangements by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner, NC.
