Kathryn Everett Singleton

August 16, 1939 — November 21, 2024

GARNER – Kathryn Everett Singleton, 85, passed away on November 21, 2024. A native of Washington, NC, Kathryn was born to the late Charles Garvey and Hilda Whitley Everett.


Kathryn is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Graham Singleton; son, Gra Singleton (Tracey); sister, Hilda Respass; grandchildren, Rachel Butler (Connor), Harrison Singleton, and Emma Singleton; and many nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Barry Todd Singleton; sisters, Barbara Roberson and Norma Roberson; and brothers, C.G. Everett, Jr. and Lindsey Everett.


Kathryn was a pediatric nurse for over 35 years and spent most of her nursing career working for Raleigh Pediatrician Dr. Anne P. Askew. She was a long-time member of Garner United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir for many years.


The family will receive friends on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.


A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Oakdale Cemetery, 180 E. 15th Street, Washington, NC 27889.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Garner Area Ministries, 560 Village Court, Garner, N.C. 27529.
