Katie Lee Johnson Honeycutt

Katie Lee Johnson Honeycutt, 85, entered into Heaven. Our beloved K-A-T-I-E, Kind, Awesome, Tenacious, Inspiring and Extraordinary.   She was a loving, wife, mother, sister, aunt, MeMe and friend. Celebration of life will be at 3:00PM Sunday Nov. 5, at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 1201 Maxwell Dr. Raleigh.    She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald R. Honeycutt; and 7-siblings. She is survived by her daughter; Deborah Upchurch (Walter); sons Rudy Honeycutt and William Honeycutt (Brenda); grandchildren, Tracey, Casey, Preslee and Brooks; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Alaina, Nick, Tyler, Grace and Noah; great-great-grandson, Brantley; and brother Clifton Johnson. The family has also requested that each family bring a covered dish to share  in the fellowship hall after the service as we all know how much Katie enjoyed feeding the 10,000.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Andrews UMC Building Fund. The family has asked that everyone write on a card your name and address and a bible verse or memory of Katie and leave at the register.
