Katie Ruth Gilbert

January 2, 1934 — April 18, 2022

ANGIER – Katie Ruth Gilbert, 88, passed away on Monday at her home. Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Jake O. Partin and Ella Wilson Partin. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 3:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. She is survived by her sisters, Letha Dean, Alice Hart Ball; and a large and loving extended family. A caregiver by nature, she loved to help others. She also loved her faithful cat, Whitie. In addition to her parents, Katie was preceded in death by her husbands, Victor Byrd, Garland Williams and Grady Gilbert; sisters, Ruby Talton, Hazel Raynor; brothers, Fred Partin, and Talmadge Partin. Flowers are appreciated, or donations may be made in Katie’s memory to Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, 4440-A Piney Grove Road, Angier NC 27501.
