Katie Young Myatt

Katie Young Myatt, 88, passed away Friday.. A native of Harnett Co. she was the daughter of the late Troy and Lois Young. Katie worked for Westinghouse for over 30 years as an assembler. Katie was a long-time member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday June 11, 2018 at Mt. Zion UMC, Hwy. 50 in Garner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband C.G. Myatt; sisters; Lucille Pearson, Josephine Pope, Polly Horton, Irene Nall and brother Troy Young. She is survived by her son; Charles Myatt and Jan Craddock; sister, Beatrice Carroll, brother, Bobby Young and wife Jackie; granddaughter, Shannon Myatt Bergeron and great-grandchildren, Sonny and Caden Bergeron and a large extended family. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday June 10, from 4:00 – 6:00 Pm at Bryan-Lee funeral Home, Garner.
