Angier- Kelly Miller McLeod, 65, passed away at his home on Sunday, February 9th. Born in Harnett County, he was the son of the late K.B. McLeod and Mary Smith McLeod.
Kelly is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Brenda C. McLeod; daughters, Morgan M. Holloway (Will) of Angier; Megan M. Keith (Jordan) of Lillington; grandchildren, Adelynn Keith of Lillington, Rhett Holloway of Angier, Elizabeth Kelly Keith of Lillington; sisters, Joyce Brown (Joe) of Angier, Sandra Denton of Angier; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances McLeod.
Kelly was a 1977 graduate of Angier High School. Kelly enjoyed horses, he had a knack for training and roping horses. He worked hard in everything he did to provide for his family. Kelly ran his own business with his wife, Brenda. They had one person, Alfred Adams who worked for them since he was a teenager who was more like a son than an employee. Outside of work, he loved spending time with Brenda, his family, and friends. Kelly's love for his daughters was unmeasurable and he cherished his grandchildren above all else. Kelly was an avid hunter his whole life and the last 15 years, he also had a passion for bear hunting with his dogs and his bear hunting buddies. Kelly's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held at Summerville Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 2065 Old US Hwy 421, Lillington, NC on Friday, February 14th at 3:30 PM.
