Kenneth Harold Weaver

Clayton – Kenneth Harold Weaver, 84, entered into the presence of Jesus and was reunited with his lovely wife of 60 years on September 3, 2023. He was a native and graduate of Johnston County.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 10th, at 3:00 P.M. at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, 3000 East Garner Road, Raleigh. A visitation will take place an hour prior, from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He served honorably in the United States Army and the National Guard. He was a parts salesman for over thirty years and retired from Brakes Incorporated in 2004. Kenneth was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church, where he coached the girls and women’s softball teams. He enjoyed making people laugh with his off-beat sense of humor.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy; parents, Erastus and Ina Estelle Aycock Weaver; brothers, Thurman Weaver (Shirley) and Jack Weaver (Agnes); sisters, Ila Hollomon (Leon) and Janice Grey Lassiter (Eugene).

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Renee Weaver Rhodes (David) of Clayton; brothers, Wilbert Weaver (Judy) of Louisburg and Jimmy Weaver (Fay) of Four Oaks; and sister, Ann Beasley (Lofton) also of Four Oaks. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

David and Renee would like to give a special thanks to the loyal caregivers, Nellie Nicholson, Melody Hogg, Sheila Alston, Patricia Clark, and Patricia Kemp. They provided him with excellent care.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mount Moriah Baptist Church (3000 East Garner Road, Raleigh, NC 27610), the American Heart Association, or the American Diabetes Association.
