Kenneth Lee Thomas

CLAYTON – Kenneth Lee Thomas, 81, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024. He was born in Mount Vernon, Washington, on May 2, 1943, and was the son of the late William Lester Thomas, and Katherine Alice Thomas.


In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Carolyn Thomas; sister, Leona Sillico; brother, Roland Thomas; and great grandson, Roman Bleu Denson.


Kenneth was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather. He honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army from July 25, 1966, to July 18, 1969. On June 4, 1966, he married the love of his life and best friend, Judy Carolyn Thomas, spending 57 memorable years together. Together they raised two children whom Kenneth and Judy loved very dearly. He will be remembered fondly by his family and friends as a man of great strength and conviction.


Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Loretta Cathleen Thomas; son, Ryan Eugene Thomas; brother, Scott Leighton Thomas; and grandson, Mycah Denson.


A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Pisgah Baptist Church, 3689 NC 210, Smithfield, NC 27577. Burial will follow at Stoney Run Cemetery, 12481 Harnett-Dunn Hwy, Dunn, NC 28334. The family will receive friends for a period of visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.
