Raleigh- Kyle Kennington King, 55, was born January 6, 1962 to Ulysus M. King-Brooks and the late Elisha King in Detroit, MI. Kyle was educated in the Detroit Public School system and graduated from Thomas M. Cooley High School where he met Michelle. Kyle and Michelle later married and to this union their daughter Asisha Michelle King was born. Although Kyle and Michelle divorced, they remained close friends. Kyle affectionately referred to Asisha as “Baby Girl” because she is the light of his life. Kyle loved Chess, diet Sunkist, bananas, popcorn, the outdoors, and always wanted to go to the Kentucky Derby. Kyle leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Asisha King and fiance’ Ira Carter, mother, Ulysus M. King-Brooks; sisters, Sherri Harrell and Melody Rudolph; brothers, Gregory King (Leslie), Brian and Michael King; stepsister, Angie Brooks; stepbrother, Chucky Brooks; aunt, Sylvia Wheeler; former wife, Michelle D. King; and a host of relatives. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
