Landis Medlin

RALEIGH - Landis Medlin, 95, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023.

He was born in Franklin County on June 13, 1927, to the late Grove and Alma Medlin of Bunn, NC. Landis served in the US Army for 2 years during 1945-1946, serving during WWII. He worked for FCX and Carolinas Cotton Growers for 45 years.

His devoted and loving wife of 56 years, Peggy, passed away in 2013. Landis is survived by his sister-in-law, Claire Gentry and husband, Coney of Oak Ridge; brother-in-law, Spencer Aycock and wife, Carolyn of Wake Forest; and a very special friend and companion, Lydia Kornegay and her family, Donna and Neil Mitchell, and family. Among Landis and Peggy’s treasures were five nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Raleigh, with Visitation beginning one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Landis’ memory to Tabernacle Baptist Church (please include in the memo line of your check, “Sunday School Class”): 8304 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC 27613.
