Larry James Villani

Larry James Villani, age 79 of Raleigh, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, December 28,2024.


Larry was born in Niagara Falls, NY, graduated from Lasalle High School and Niagara

County Community College. He has lived in Raleigh for the past 30 years.


Larry was a devoted husband to his wife of 56 years, Bonnie; son: Eric, wife Cindy and son, Brian. He was the adored "Papa" to his four beloved grandchildren: Nicholas, Darci, Daniella, and Adrianna. Brothers: Bobby and Jimmy. Sisters: Elaina and Lorraine.


Preceded in death by brother, Kurt Villani. He was the loving son of the late Guido and Lorraine Villani.


Larry was a veteran and proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a successful businessman in Niagara Falls, NY where he owned and operated Cataract Door and Lumber with his family. After moving to North Carolina he opened Villa Window and Door with his son, Eric in Cary, NC. He was a past president of the Niagara County Home Builders Association and was well known in the home center lumber business. In his years of retirement he worked for a dear family friend with Sparkle and Shine and at Westlake Ace Hardware. Larry took great pride in his customer service with all clients where he shared his infinite knowledge in the construction industry.


The family would like to give a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at UNC Rex Hospital for the care they provided.


Arrangements will be made by Bryan-Lee Funeral home. A celebration of Larry's life will be held at a later date.
