Lawrence F. Nobling

RALEIGH- Lawrence Freeman Nobling, 89, a retired driver with Overnight Transportation, died Monday. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Coley and Ida Kelly Nobling. Lawrence was a charter member of Turner Memorial Baptist Church in Garner, where he served as deacon for several years and was a member of the Mens Sunday School class. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday at Turner Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park Survivors include his beloved wife of 67 years, Guynell Cox Nobling; sons, Larry Nobling (Joyce), Jimmy Nobling, all of Beaufort and Craig Nobling (Patricia) of Raleigh; sisters, Blanche Price of Pittsboro, Carrie Riddle (John) of Garner; brother, Clarence Nobling (Peggy) of Garner; grandchildren, Lisa Smith , Nicole Rigsbee, Buddy Nobling, Stacy Nobling, Patti Bryant, Kati and Jacob Nobling; great-grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Cruzz, Eriss and Skeece Rigsbee, Samantha Nobling, Hunter Bryant, Preston Byrd, Cole and Hayden Nobling, Tiffany Harvell and Melissa Johnson, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Elmo Nobling and great-grandson, Drew Smith. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. The family wishes to express their gratitude to his devoted caregivers, George and Shirley Sandy and Patricia Nobling.
