Lawrence John Blasko

Willow Spring– Lawrence “Larry” Blasko, 85, passed away on Saturday at Wake Medical Center in Cary. Born in Luzerne County, PA he was the son of the late John P. Blasko and Sophia Plitnick Duneski. Larry served faithfully in the US Navy for 20 years where he retired as an airplane mechanic. Following his military service, he worked for Penske for 22 years as a truck driver until his retirement. Larry was a longtime member of Kennebec Baptist Church in Angier.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Gloria Blasko; children, Jane Cecelic and husband, Jim of Port Orange, FL, David Blasko of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Dawn Vaughan and husband, Billy of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Johanna Cecelic and Jessica Cecelic both of Port Orange, FL, Ami Summers and husband, Justin of Clayton, Rebecca Vaughan of Charlotte.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sisters, Diane Gallagher, Mary Ann Duneski, and his brother, Thomas Blasko.
