Lawrence "Larry" Cox

November 7, 1954 — February 14, 2024

FUQUAY-VARINA – Lawrence “Larry” Chester Cox, 69, passed away at Rex Hospital in Raleigh on Wednesday. Born in Middlesex County, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Harold Cox and Mary Franck Cox.


A private burial will be held at Sandhills State Veteran’s Cemetery, Spring Lake, NC.

Larry is survived by his sister, Deborah Bigdely (William) of Sandy Hook, VA; brother, Matthew Cox of Parlin, NJ; nephews, Austin Bigdely (Elizabeth) of Manassas, VA, Adam Bigdely of Deadwood, OR, and Thomas Bigdely (Meuy Phan) of Redding, CA; great-nephews, Jackson Bigdely and Sawyer Bigdely; close friends, Mark and Vicki Daulton of Willow Spring and his friends at McLamb’s Auto Salvage in Fuquay-Varina; as well as many cousins.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Cox.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an organization of your choice supporting US military veteran’s in Larry’s memory.
