Lawrence Ray Davis

GARNER - Lawrence Ray Davis, 91, passed away Sunday. A native of Johnston County, he was the son of the late General Willard Davis and Ila Mae Talton Davis. Heretired from the meter division of Westinghouse after 29 years of service. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Smithfield. Survivors include his daughters, Linda Davis Wilkerson of Raleigh and Penny Davis Bullock of Morehead City; sons, Edward Eddie Davis and wife, Delores, and Thomas R. Tommy Davis and wife, Kim, all of Fuquay-Varina; brother, Bill Davis and wife, Frances of Smithfield; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Campbell Davis; sister, Kathleen Fields and brothers, James, Ramie, Carl and John K. Davis.The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
