Lenora Kathern Katie Mclean

OCTOBER 12, 1925 - JULY 6, 2012 ANGIER - Lenora Kathern 'Katie' McLean, 86, passed away on Friday. A native of West Virginia, she is the daughter of the late John and Nora Maxwell Sandy. Formerly of Fuquay-Varina, she retired from the Dietary Department, DorotheaDixHospital, State of North Carolina. Mrs. McLean is survived by daughters, Donna R. Rogers (husband, Jim) of High Point and Linda L. Byers of Perryopolis, Pa.; sister, Martha Hunt of Phillipi, WV.; Six grandchildren; Kim Murray (Michael) of Clemmons, N. C., Michelle Thomas of Charleston, WV, Phillip Braden (Jennifer) of Parker, Colorado, Melissa Braden of Chesapeake, WV, Craig Byers (Teri) of Tomball, Texas and Bobby Byers (Deanna) of Mebane, N. C.; 12 great grandchildren; Nicholas, Rachel, Jaxon, Isabella, Michelle, Spencer, Rylee, Bobbi Jo, Collin, Sydney, Nolan and Shane; and one great great grandchild, Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood McLean and daughter, Sandra K. Braden. Viewing will be from 3:00 to 4:00 PM on Monday, July 9, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 300 McIver St. Angier. Graveside service will be immediately following the visitation, 4:30 PM, at KennebecBaptistChurchCemetery.
