Leroy Walston, Jr.

Marvin Leroy Walston, Jr., 71, died suddenly Sunday from a brain hemorrhage at WakeMedicalCenter. He served in the US Marine Corps and retired from All Crane.He was a kind and gentle man, a devoted, loving husband and father and an adoring grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.Funeral service will be 6:00 pm Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be private. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Glenda Quinn Walston; daughters, Laura Brewer Thompson, Jody Quinn Gardner (Ricky), Angela Quinn Medlin (Leonard), Donna Quinn Hunter (Mike), and son, Michael Quinn (Shelli); grandchildren , Harley Brewer, Christopher Brewer, Jenna Gardner Flowers (Randall), Sydney Medlin, Wyatt Medlin, Justin Quinn and Hayden Hunter; siblings, Van Peaden (Rita), Pattie Walston, Kay Peaden Williams (Donald), and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Leroy Walston, Sr. and Mary Peaden Walston; his adoptive parents, William Peaden and Josephine Walston Peaden; siblings, Bobbie Walston, William Walston and Nan Babcock.
