Lillie Mae Cooper

GARNER– Lillie Mae Johnson Cooper, 88, passed away on October 6, 2023. A native of Johnston County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Johnson and Ida Johnson. Lillie was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was kind and caring to anyone who crossed her path.

In addition to her parents, Lillie is preceded in death by her late husband, Bobby Byrd; first husband, Hubert Gene Cooper; grandson, Nicholas Lockamon; great grandson, Trenton Lockamon; and several brothers and sisters.

Lillie is survived by her loving daughters, Donna Furnas (Chris), Tonya Carroll (Chris), and Sandra Lockamon (Donnie); grandchildren, Jeffery Furnas, and Jenny Furnas; and great grandchildren, Bladen Lockamon, and MacKenzie Wilder.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 14, at 12pm, at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603.
