Linda Fuquay Lynch

CARY- Linda Fuquay Lynch, 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones. A native of Portsmouth, Virginia, Linda was a graduate of Elizabeth City High School and Hardbarger Business College. She retired from First Citizens Bank with 44 years of service. Linda loved beach music and shagging, cheering on the Tarheels, and decorating her house; but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Surviving: her husband of 21 years, Clay Lynch; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Matt Sheppard and grandchildren, Dylan, Olivia, and Leah; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Allison Wall, and grandchildren, Graham and Garrett; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Stephen Barefoot and grandchild, Joseph; step-son and his wife, Michael and Lian Lynch and grandchildren, Emerson and Tanner; mother, Lessie Fuquay; and brother, Joe Fuquay. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Fuquay, and her sister, Beverly Faye Rose. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1 PM at Longview Baptist Church, 2308 N. New Hope Road, Raleigh. Burial will follow in Brier Creek Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh. Memorials may be made to either Hospice of Wake County or the Longview Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Fund.
