Linda Lambert Griffin, age 84, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025 in Holly Springs, NC. Born February 10, 1941 in Waynesboro, Virginia, she was the daughter of John and Dorothy Lambert.
Linda Griffin was a devoted wife, loving mother, and fiercely independent woman. She and her husband Bill raised their family in Kensington, Maryland. She had a true talent for creating a warm and welcoming home, where every item had its place and her love for decorating shone through. A gifted seamstress, she lovingly made dresses for her daughter when she was a little girl, pouring her care into every stitch. Linda and her husband, Bill, later settled in Last Gaston, North Carolina, a place she adored and embraced as home. She dedicated her life to her family and played a vital role in supporting Bill as one of the founding members of the Mid Atlantic Motocross Association. She had a passion for fast cars but never at the expense of her perfect hairdo.
During their 56 years of marriage, she and Bill were the embodiment of two becoming one in marriage-inseparable in heart and soul. Though Linda's body carried on after Bill's passing in October 2024, her heart had already gone with him, and she passed not long after, truly from a broken heart.
She is survived by her two children; daughter, Robyn Szot and her husband Kevin and son, Bill Griffin and his wife, Cindy; grandchildren, Dylan Szot and his wife Amanda, Nick Szot, Bryan King, Amber Griffin and fiance Josh Phillips, MacKenzie Griffin and Hunter Griffin; and one great-grandchild, Lyla Szot.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date in Maryland.
