ANGIER- Linda Kay Adams, 74, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late William Lawrence Williams and Kitty Velma Godwin. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 PM at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church in Angier. Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Surviving are her daughters, Lisa Sahlbach and husband, Dale of Angier and Brenda Fenton of Angier; sons, Matt Faris and wife, Penny of Middleburg, FL and Steven Adams and wife, Veronica of Angier; sisters, Marie Johnson and husband, Carlie of Angier and Jewel Jackson of Godwin; brother, Richard Williams and wife, Ann of Benson; stepchildren, Glenda Pollard and husband, Terry of Fuquay-Varina, Charlene Jackson, and Charles Adams Jr. “Butch” and wife, Brenda of Angier; twenty-seven grandchildren; and thirty-one great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Adams; sisters, Effie Jean Melton and Teresia Norris; and brother, Jerry Williams.
