Linda Sue Powell

GARNER – Linda Sue Powell, 72, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. She was born in Wake County to Bobby Ray Powell and Alice Douglas Powell.

Linda is survived by her husband, Dwight Driver; her mother, Alice Douglas Powell; sons, Donald Grady; Brian Grady and his wife, Pam; sister, Janet Storms and her husband, Gerald; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Grady, Spencer Grady, Brandon Grady and Aidan Grady; step-children Timothy Driver, Crystal Mooneyham and her husband Johnny; step-grandchildren Austin Driver, Brandon Mooneyham, Madison Mooneyham, Logan Mooneyham, Kaylee Mooneyham. She is also survived by a special “daughter,” Deborah Allen. Lastly, she is survived by her devoted canine companion, Rocky D.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Ray Powell.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Mount Moriah Baptist Church at 3000 E. Garner Road, Raleigh, NC 27610. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mount Moriah Baptist Church at 3000 E. Garner Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.
