Lisa Gay Midyett Kuhn, 56, passed away unexpectedly, on Wednesday, August 3, 2022. A native of Okaloosa County, FL, Lisa was born May 27, 1966, to Wenonah Watts Midyett and the late Charles Lane Midyett. Lisa was born on Eglin Air Force Base, before her father was transferred to upstate New York, where she considered Endicott, New York her home. After finishing school, she took a job with American Airlines, which led her to the Raleigh area. There, Lisa met the love of her life, Kenneth Kuhn and after they married, they settled down to start a family. She was a wonderful wife and an amazing mother to her three kids, Holly, Mary, and Matthew. She loved being a mother. She loved helping them with homework, cooking and being in the kitchen, and even making and decorating cakes for their birthdays or holidays. Her favorite hobby was to plan parties for her family and their friends. She always planned the best parties. Lisa also loved to make trips to the beach with her family and sometimes by herself, just to get away from life for a while and enjoy the sounds of the ocean. But most importantly, Lisa loved her family. She and Ken raised three amazing children, with so much tenderness and support, and watched as they became amazing extensions of their love. In 2020, the Kuhn family lost Holly, which was so devastating, but Lisa always had the bright side in her vision, knowing that there was a reason, and they would all be together again someday. Lisa was able to meet her Holly, although much too soon, but what a reunion it must have been. A celebration of the life of Lisa Kuhn, will be, Friday, August 12, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 15772 NC Highway 50, Garner, NC 27529.
