Lois Kirkland Watkins

Selma, NC. - Lois Kirkland Watkins, of Selma, age 89, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 9:36 PM. She was born September 7, 1932, in Wake County, NC, daughter of late Romie and Irma Watkins. She came from a large family consisting of nine brothers and sisters. Lois was a giving and loving person, strong willed, and independent. She enjoyed being surrounded by family, telling stories, laughing, and listening to gospel hymns. The love she had for Jesus, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the joy and comfort of her life. All friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Lois’ life, Friday, October 8th, 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, at Bryan Lee funeral home, in Garner, NC. The funeral service will be held Monday, October 11th, 1:00 PM, in the Chapel. Following the committal, Lois will be laid to rest, in Zebulon, NC at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her loving family which includes her two sons, David Ward, of Selma NC, and Timmy Ward, and Wife, Katherine, of Smithfield NC, and preceded, in death, by her daughter, Fidelia Lynn Miller. Lois was blessed with seven grandchildren: Chris Ward and wife, Jennifer, of Willow Springs, NC; Michelle Bennett and partner, Blake Marshburn, of Garner, NC; Jessica Weaver and partner, Scott Madsen, of Selma, NC; Heather King and husband, Russell, of Leland, NC; Sarah Ward, of Selma, NC; Gerina Tucker, and husband, Dakota, of Zebulon, NC; Reba Miller, of Willow Springs, NC; and her eight great grandchildren, Christopher, Jayden, Zachery, Gracie, Kaylee, Savannah, Harper, and Chase. Special acknowledgements will be presented by her great grand-daughter, Barbara Grace Marie Deans.
