Loma Lou Ashley Leeson, 89 of Clayton, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Gabriel Manor Nursing Home in Clayton, NC. Loma was born June 25, 1931 to George Cleveland and Pinkie Alice Ashley of Shinnston, WV and grew up in the Cunningham Run area of Shinnston, WV. She retired after serving over 30 years as an operating room technician at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV. She was preceded in death by her father and mother as well as nine other brothers and sisters. Loma is survived by one son: Timothy Jay Leeson of Lake City, FL and one daughter: Pamela Kay Geffken (husband: Bob) of Clayton, NC. Also surviving are three sisters: Jenny Hesch of Lorain, OH; Shirley Greaver (husband: Thomas) of Enterprise, WV; Margie McDougal (husband: Norman) of Manley Chapel, WV and one brother: Bernard Ashley (wife: Brenda) of Medina, OH. She also had three grandchildren Marie Leeson, Gregory and Jace Geffken, and three great grandchildren Taylor, Devon and Leo. Loma was a very loving and caring person. She made everyone that visited her church feel welcome and she loved spending time with family and friends. She had a wonderful gift of bringing joy to all who shared time with her. She was a faithful member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Garner, NC. She will be cremated per her request. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday May 4, 2021 at 2PM at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Garner, NC. The family would like to express a special thank you to Medi-Hospice care in Roxboro, NC and the Gabriel Manor Nursing Home in Clayton, NC for their kindness to Loma in her last days on earth.
