Loretta Simpson

Raleigh – Loretta Simpson, 67, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024. She was born in Hill County, TX, on January 10, 1957, and was the daughter of Garth Wayne Landtroop and Bobbie Irene Freeman Landtroop.

Loretta is survived by her husband of 22 years, Elbia Simpson; daughters, Angie Wooley (Tony), Angel Partin, Lyric Simpson; son, Travis Thorton (Jessica); mother, Bobbie Landtroop; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, DeWayne Landtroop (Barbara); mother-in-love, Elgan Burrows; brother-and–sister-in love, Jerry Simpson (Brenda).

She was preceded in death by her father, Garth Wayne Landtroop.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 11th, at The Pentecostals of Fuquay, 2317 NC 42 Willow Spring, NC 27592, North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM prior to the service at the church. The burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, North Carolina.
