Louise B. Barbour

February 10, 1936 — April 2, 2015

CLAYTON – Louise B. Barbour, 79, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday. A lifetime native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Will Barbour and Emily Austin Barbour. Louise was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by many. Louise was a wonderful baker and before her illness was well known for her homemade applejacks and pound cakes that she loved to share with family, friends and the community shut-ins. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Monday, April 6, 2015 at Baptist Center Church, Clayton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are her husband of 34 years Roger Barbour; daughter, Kelli Fisk and husband, Duane; sons, Kenneth Tracy Stephenson and wife, Rhonda and Tommy Allen; grandchildren, Kristi Dunn, Lauren Stephenson, Caleb Stephenson Devin Wall; great-grandchild, Aydan Dunn; step children, Victor Barbour and Renee Sutton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Colleen B. Byrd; brothers, Elmo Barbour, Zack Barbour, Harley Barbour and Bobby R. Barbour. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 5, 2015 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner and other times at the home.
