Louise Jones Wilkins

Louise Jones Wilkins was born on June 6, 1930 in Raleigh, North Carolina to Herbert and Alice Jones. Louise was attended by her son, Michael, for several days before she passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 in Raleigh. Louise now rests in the loving arms of our God and Creator.

Louise graduated from Apex High School as class Valedictorian in 1948. She enjoyed a career at News & Observer, Pritchard Paint and Glass and Carolina Glass and Mirror. She attended Swift Creek Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC her entire life.

Louise married Judson Truett Wilkins in 1948 and was preceded in death by her husband in 1988.

Louise is survived by her son, Michael Wilkins (Mary-Taylor), her daughter, Lynette Burnette (Al). She was a proud grandparent of Landon Wilkins, Trey Burnette (Sarah) and Brett Burnette (Alex). She had four great-grandchildren: Lillie Rae, Jimmy, SJ and Mady.

Services will be held Friday, December 27 at Swift Creek Baptist Church (9300 Penny Rd - Raleigh, NC). Visitation is in the Fellowship Hall from 10:00 to 10:45 am. The Funeral Service is in the Sanctuary at 11:00 am with Graveside remembrance to follow in the Church Cemetery.
