Louise Melvin Chester

Mrs. Louise Chester, 77, of Garner, NC, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016. Louise was born in Parkersburg, NC to the late Austin and Neva (Beasly) Melvin. She worked at Wake Med, Raleigh for 28 years as a Nurse Tech. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chester was preceded in death by her husband, Grover (Joe) W. Chester and her sister, Magdalene West. Mrs. Chester is survived by daughters, Debra, (David), Inman of St. Charles MO; Pamela, (Bill), Mason of Garner, NC; son, Michael Norris of Highland Plains, NJ; step-daughters Brenda, (David), Tollefson of Angier, NC; Linda, (Bob), Parker of Fuquay Varina, NC; Terry Quintero of Willow Springs, NC; step-sons Charles, (Verna), Chester of Garner, NC; Jack Nelms of Scotland Neck, NC; sister, Carla Huddler of Summerville, SC; brother, Ira, (Marjorie), Melvin of Chadbourn NC; six grandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; five great grandchildren and numerous step great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-8PM Wednesday January 27, 2016 at Bryan-Lee in Garner, NC. Funeral services for Mrs. Chester will be held in the chapel of Bryan-Lee at 2:00PM, Thursday, January 28, 2016. Interment will immediately follow at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh.
