Raleigh-Lucille went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 1st, 2015. She was born on November 28, 1930 in Greene County to William H. Graves and Pattie Eason Graves. She attended Maury High School, Greenville College of Beauty and Hardbarger Business College. She was a resident of Raleigh since 1947. She was a cosmetologist in Raleigh for more than 60 years, owning several beauty salons, most recently Charm Beauty Salon on Johnson St. in Raleigh. Lucille was an employee of Wake Medical Center where she worked in a critical care waiting area for more than 18 years and received a quality service award in 1998. She loved people, assisting grieving family members while at Wake Med, and also her salon clients who became her extended family. Lucille was a member of Longview Methodist Church for more than 50 years where she served as a circle leader many years, also President of the LUM Women. She was chairperson of the Church Guild, receiving a faithful servant special pin in 1987. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church since 2004. She married Elbert (Jack) Bullard March 15, 1952. She is survived by two sons, Randall Graves Bullard of Raleigh and William Roy Bullard and wife, Joyce Lee Massengill of Goldsboro; two grandsons, David Ray Bullard and wife Jessica of Raleigh and Randall Earl Bullard and wife Ashlee of Angier; also three great grandchildren Annabelle, Keira and Kyle; a sister, Janice Lamm and husband Jimmy who was very dear to Lucille of Wilson; and a sister, Mildred Howell of Kinston. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and a very dear friend, Brenda Carter of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; her parents of Maury; brothers, Curtis Roy Graves of Ayden and William F. Graves of Kinston; sisters, Lena Mae Mooring of Maury, Anita Fleming Arrington of Rocky Mount, Helen Gaydek of Maury, Beedie Dolly of Raleigh, Ruth Cox of Farmville and Mary Taylor of Snow Hill. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6, at 11 AM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 until 11 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Kitty Askins Hospice House of Goldsboro or Hillcrest Baptist Church of Raleigh. For more than 20 years this special lady was my mother-in-law, always loving and kind in words and deeds. She blessed my life in so many ways and I will miss her.
