Lucille S. Bowden

August 2, 1933 — November 5, 2016

Willow Spring- Lucille Stephenson Bowden, 83, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late James and Plassie Jones Stephenson. Lucille was a lifelong member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Willow Spring. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church, Willow Spring. The Family will receive friend’s from1:00-1:45 pm prior to the service at the church. Lucille is survived by her daughter, Susan Bowden (Patrick) of Willow Spring; sons, Donald Bowden (Gloria) of Lexington, SC, Dwight Bowden (Sandy) of Durham; sisters, Doris Griffis of Smithfield, Shirley Smith (Jerry) of Ashe; brother, Tom Stephenson (Valure) of Supply; grandchildren, Carrie Bowden (Don Gross) of Rolesville, Billy Bowden of Columbia, SC; two great-grandchildren; two special nephews, Michael and Kevin Bowden of Willow Spring and numerous other nieces and nephews. Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, M.G. “Bill” Bowden; four sisters and five brothers.
