Lucy Muro

Lucy Leona Muro, 94, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on January 14, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Agostino "August" Perrotti and Anna Shello Perrotti.

Lucy was an exceptional mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Early in her life she met and married her great love and best friend, John Muro, and they spent many memorable years together before his passing in 2018. The thing she was most fond of was her family, especially her grandchildren who she was incredibly close with, her love and commitment to her family was something to admire and was reflected in all that she did. She will be remembered fondly by her family and friends as a woman of great strength and conviction.

In addition to her parents, Lucy is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Muro; and sisters, Mary, and Theresa.

Lucy is survived by her sons, Alan Muro (Stephanie), Bob Muro (Chris), David Muro (JoAnn), and Richard Muro (Karen); brother, Edward Perrotti; 7 grandchildren that were always close to her heart; and 6 great grandchildren that she loved very dearly.
