BENSON – Lura “Ann” Brinkley Williams, 74, passed away at her home on Saturday. Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Jasper Brinkley and Juanita Thompson Brinkley.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 31st in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Richard Williams; daughters, Debbie Lovejoy (Keith) of Little River, SC, Donna Spell (Donnie) of Dunn, and Denise Byrd of Dunn; sisters, Sylvia Carroll of Raleigh, Sue Green (Gary) of Cary; sister-in-law, Anneleise Brinkley of Garner; grandchildren, Krystal Hamilton (Blake) of Angier, Addison Briggs (Judy) of Angier, Cody Lovejoy of Little River, SC, William Spell of Autryville, Christen Byrd of Fuquay-Varina, and Jessica Neighbors (Hayden) of Glennville, GA; great-grandchildren, Blakely Hamilton, Briggs Hamilton, Collin Briggs, Alyssa Briggs, Allison Briggs, Madison Briggs, Isabella Briggs, Nora Pastusek, Hank Neighbors and Evelynn Neighbors; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Carroll, Mary Lou Ragan, Nellie Hatley, Frances Brinkley; brothers, Frank Brinkley, David Brinkley and Jasper Brinkley.
