Lynn Mcclain Owen

ANGIER – Lynn M. Owen, 86, of Angier passed away early morning on March 10th, 2024 at home. The Harnett County native was born on August 5, 1937 to the late Harry Owen and Mamie Holland Owen. Lynn was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and devoted husband.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 14th at 2:00 pm at Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church, Angier. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the church, prior to the service.

A true outdoorsman and nature lover, Lynn had a passion for flying, hunting, and fishing. After serving in the Navy, he began his career as an electrician with Raleigh Electric, and later he started his own business as an electrical contractor. He was a faithful member of Piney Grove Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janis Owen; four daughters, Pamela Owen, Kimberly Owen Ennis and husband, Todd, Denise Owen Senter, and Becky Butts; grandchildren, Jonathan Ennis, Lynsi Owen Stewart and husband Thomas, Haley Senter, Jennifer Ennis Keller and husband Ian, and Tatum Senter; great-grandchildren, Trent Stewart and Josalynn Scales. He is also survived by brother, Lee Owen and wife, Sue.

In addition to his parents, Lynn was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise Dixon Owen and brother, Willard Owen.
