Mabel R. Lineberry passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016. She was born in Wilkinsburg, Pa., on Aug. 18, 1930. Mabel worked with the Bureau of Labor and Statistics for the federal and state governments during her professional career. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Mother-Advisor of the Rainbow Girls. She loved traveling (especially to Arcadia, Florida during winter retirement years.) She was an avid bridge player and loved her peonies, working in her flower and vegetable gardens, cooking for family on holidays, and painting. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Mabel Rossbach, and her brother, Wilbur Rossbach. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dee O. Lineberry; two sons, Bill Lineberry and wife Debbie and Jim Lineberry and wife Connie; one daughter, Shelia L. Penny; two granddaughters, Paige L. King and husband James and Michelle P. Mills and husband Blake; four grandsons, Keith Lineberry and wife Monica, Cameron Penny and wife Ashley, Andrew Lineberry, and Brett Lineberry and finacee Ariel Dean; two great-granddaughters, Cameron and Claire King. The family will receive friends on Wed., May 11, from 6 to 8 pm at the family home. A grave-side service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 12, at Raleigh Memorial Park, 7501 Glenwood Ave. Raleigh, NC Arrangements by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Raleigh. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Wake County.
