Mable H. Nance

RALEIGH– Mable Howell Nance, 92, died Monday. Born in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late Sims and Maggie Penny Howell. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Entombment will follow at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, Raleigh. Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Pleasant (Charles), Sandy Penny (Doug) and Robin Hawley (Jerry); sons, Robert Nance (Jackie) and Jerry Nance; sister, Nellie Hardy; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nance and daughter, Sherry Como. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of Jeremy Penny, 9309 Sauls Road, Raleigh, NC 27603.
