Manuel Smith

Manuel Deleon Smith, 90, passed away Tuesday at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Born in Georgia, he was the son of the late Andrew Clinton Smith and Estelle Jones Smith. The family will have a graveside service at Wake Chapel Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina. Manuel is survived by his daughters, Joni Smith Powell (Kyle Stephenson) of Fuquay-Varina, Leslea Smith of Fuquay-Varina; son, Jeffrey Smith (Staci) of Royce City, TX; sisters-in-law, Gene Smith of Victoria, TX and Helen Brown of Stanford,TX; grandchildren, Ty Smith of Madison, TN, and Kyle Smith (Jessica) of Waller, TX; great-grandchildren, Noah Smith, and Abel Smith; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Tapley Smith; sons, Michael Smith, and Alfred Smith; sister, Juanita Renz; brothers, Bill Smith, and Lamar Smith.
