Marcus Usaf Retired Colonel Cooper, Jr.

d. January 4, 2015

Colonel (USAF, Retired) Marcus F. Cooper Jr, “Mick” went to be with the Lord on 4 Jan 2015.  As a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather he will be sorely missed but fondly remembered as a great American patriot.  Among his many assignments, he served this nation as an Air Force fighter pilot and leader having flown 101 missions over North Vietnam in the F-4C and as the Wing Commander over three bases in South Korea while flying the A-10.  He is survived by his wife Kim, six children, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  While quite active in the First Baptist Church of Clayton, he made a genuine commitment to Christ last year as Lord and Savior.  His family and friends mourn his loss from this world, yet we are joyful and comforted by his eternal presence with the Father and the Son.  While details are forthcoming, he will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
