Margaret Ann Hobbs

Raleigh - Ann Hobbs, 79, passed away on Thursday. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 12 noon at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. The family will receive friends from 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM at the funeral home prior to the service. She is survived by her children, Tommy Carter and wife Anna, Jeff Mavity and Fiancé' Kimberly and Jennifer Mavity; grandchildren, Dustin, Taylor, Maygan, Tyler, Sergio, Kara, Alivia, Jordan, Nick, Ryan, Michael; great-grandchildren, Dax & Blake. Ann enjoyed many things in life like reading, drawing, jewelry making, singing Neal Diamond songs, watching reruns of the 50' 60 and 70's shows on ME TV and dancing. Most of all she loved sweets, and her passion within that category was ice cream! She loved sports, especially her Tarheels! She loved her family and friends and was never too busy to sit and talk. She enjoyed going out to eat Betty and Dale Hobbs, her sister and brother-in-law, where they would talk and share memories about each other's extended families. She was married for 37 years, to a wonderful and caring man until his passing in 2011
