Margaret F. Williams

RALEIGH – Margaret Franks Williams, 89, passed away Monday at home with family by her side. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Lana Hilliard Franks. In 1990, she retired from DMV and was a long time member of Turner Memorial Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, Terry Williams and wife, Pamela of Raleigh; sister, Shirley Huskey of Fuquay-Varina and brother-in-law, Norman Utley of Garner; grandchildren, Tiffany Sloan (Peter) of Topsail Beach and Bridgett Lipawen (Mark) of Panama City, FL. ; great-grandchildren, Drew, Lyndsay, Caroline and Hannah. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Williams; her daughter, Gloria Perkins of Panama City, FL.; her sister, Hilda Utley of Garner and brother, Munford Franks. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Transitions LifeCare (Hospice of Wake County), 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607. The family wishes to thank Transitions LifeCare for their wonderful care of their mother for her last 6 months.
