GARNER - Margaret Beasley Peacock, 79, of Garner, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, after a period of declining health. Born on November 18, 1942 in Johnston County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Milton D. and Gertrude Wood Beasley. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 31st from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 1st at 2:00 PM at Renewal @ Garner Advent Christian Church. Burial will follow at Banner Chapel Church in Benson. Margaret graduated from Benson High School in 1961, the same year she married the love of her life, Bruce Peacock. They were happily married for 55 years and were blessed with three children. One of the children’s favorite stories about their mother involves her hair. Bruce loved to tell about how in their early marriage, he dropped his brunette wife off at a beauty salon. When he came to pick her up, he saw a good-looking blonde walking toward his car, and he was trying not to stare. Turns out it was Margaret! From that day on, she was “Blondie.” Margaret and Bruce were the owners of Peacock Drywall Company, Inc, and were beloved by the people they employed, who fondly referred to her as Mrs. Margaret. She served as treasurer, and Bruce said although he was the heart of the company, she was the brains. Her greatest joys were her faith, family, and friends. She and Bruce were very involved in the growth and development of Garner Advent Christian Church and were faithful members for many years. She adored her children and grandchildren and would do anything she could to make their lives better. She also enjoyed the company of her long-time friends and neighbors. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her brothers, Charles, Lewis, and Howard Beasley. She is survived by her daughters Angie Carroll (Brad) of Four Oaks, NC, and Gina Peacock-Byrd (Johnny) of Franklin, TN; son Jason Peacock (Cassie) of Garner, NC; grandchildren Alex Gahrmann (Anna), Justin Gahrmann, McKenzie Peacock, Tyler Peacock, Dixie Byrd Errico (Daniel), Johnny Mac Byrd, Sadie Byrd, Jesse Byrd, Jake Byrd, Callia Byrd, and Judah Byrd; and great-granddaughter Rozlin Gahrmann. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Mattie Beasley of Benson NC, Marie Beasley of Oak Island, NC, Gail Barefoot (Larry) of Four Oaks, NC, Patsy West of Clayton, NC, and Peggy Johnson (Larry) of Dunn, NC, and many nieces and nephews. The family would also like to extend special thanks to Jenny Faison and Margie Raynor for their excellent care and companionship over the last year, and also to the staff both at BellaRose Rehab in Garner and at Brookdale Smithfield Assisted Living who cared for her during the last two months of her life. Their kindness and professionalism were truly a blessing. Flowers are welcome and contributions can be made in Margaret’s memory to Garner Advent Christian Church. .
