Margaret "Peg" Valiquette

September 23, 1960 — January 17, 2022

Fuquay-Varina – Margaret “Peg” Ann Valiquette Bennett, 61, was called home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2022. She is the daughter of the late John and Cecilia Bennett of Worcester MA. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 29th at 10:00 AM at South Raleigh Bible Church, in Raleigh. Peg is survived by her loving husband, Matt Valiquette, of over 18 years, from Hampden MA, presently residing in Fuquay-Varina NC. Her sisters, Kathy Fontaine of Charlton MA, Linda Grubb of Clayton NC; Nieces and Nephews Jack, Joey and Annie Fontaine and Matt and Josh Grubb. The greatest thing that ever happened to Peg was that she became a Christian about 20 years ago when she realized she was a sinner, having broken God's law and deserving of God’s wrath in hell for all eternity (Rom 6:23). While that was overwhelming, she also learned that Jesus, God’s only son had become a man, lived a perfect life, died on the cross to pay for her sins and rose again victoriously that she might be forgiven and be made a child of God (John 3:16)! Peg believed in Christ’s death and resurrection for the forgiveness of her sins (Rom 10:9-10) and has loved the Lord so much ever since that time, has spent the last 20 years of her life reading, listening and studying the Bible and worshiping God and growing with other believers in the local church! Peg was a barber/hair stylist, and then bookkeeper in her earlier work life. She became an avid advocate for animals and volunteered and worked at many shelters. This led to her obtaining certification and operating her own Dog Training business, ‘Peg’s Proper Pooches’ for a time. Peg was also an avid crafter, working in glass, wood, and other mediums, creating gifts and other items that were a blessing to many friends and family, and eventually many customers locally and as far away as Australia through her online shop. She is already missed, but for those that Believe, we will be reunited again in Glory! In lieu of flowers, please considered a donation on her behalf to one of the following charities: https://www.worldvision.org/donate https://www.compassion.com/ways-to-donate.htm https://endabortionnow.com/donate/ http://acu-zambia.com/partner/donate.php
