Margaret Poole Buffaloe

December 6, 1924 — March 10, 2017

Margaret Poole Buffaloe, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, March 10.  A graduate of Garner High School, she attended Hardbarger Business College and then worked along side her husband of 68 years managing their farm.  She was known for sharing cakes, meals, plants and vegetables from her garden with those in the McCullers community.  She was happiest when her family and friends were gathered around her table. She found much joy in gardening, and visiting with her granddaughters and great grandchildren.  Margaret also enjoyed fellowshipping with her Sunday school class at Ernest Myatt, where she was a long time member.  She was a second mother and grandmother to many, embracing everyone with her nurturing spirit and southern hospitality. Margaret is remembered and loved by her sons, Mickey and Danny; daughter-in-law, Cindy, 4 granddaughters, Deborah Webb (David), Shelly Watkins (Arthur), Rachael Savage (Geoffrey), and Rebecca Buffaloe (Corey), and 6 great grandchildren, Peyton Buffaloe, Caroline and Curtis Webb, Adeline and Will Watkins, and Emery Jean Savage, along with many beloved nieces and nephews by whom she was affectionately referred to as “Aunt Hote.” She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Buffaloe, an infant son, Bryant Braxton, her brothers, William and Lewis Poole and her sister, Betsy Davis. Her life will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Ernest Myatt Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm on Sunday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Contributions can be made, in lieu of flowers to Transitions Hospice House, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
