Margaret Poole Thomas

Margaret Poole Thomas died May 21, 2012 at the age of 101. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Neil McKay Murchison and Margaret Shaw Murchison. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alonza Poole and L.C. Thomas; a grandson Joey Poole; 2 sisters and2 brothers.She was a buyer for Efrids Department Store for twenty-four years and retired from Nationwide Insurance Company as a supervisor in Claims Services.She was a member of Hiram 40 Lodge Ladies Club, Young at Hearts Club and Emmanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyeddoing volunteer work at Whitaker Mill Senior Center and Meals on Wheels. Surviving are a son, Joseph H. Poole and wife Lois; granddaughters Cheryl P. Nagle and Cherye P. Stallings. A Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the Bryan-Lee Chapel, 831 Wake Forest Road, followed by burial at Montlawn Memorial Park.
