May 13, 1930 - Nov. 3, 2011RALEIGH - Margie Barbour Dean, 81, a devoted Mother and Grandmother, died peacefully at home Thursday morning after an extended illness surrounded by family. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior, and is rejoicing with all of her loved ones who have gone on before her. She was the daughter of the late Algier and Pauline Barbour of Sanford. She was preceded in death by her late husband Allen Dean and her daughter Brenda Dean. She is survived by her son, Allen Ray Dean and his wife, Gloria Dean of Benson, her son, Terry Lee Dean and his wife, Cindy Dean of Raleigh, and daughter, Doris Dean Watkins and her husband, Franklin Watkins of Rolesville. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and 3 brothers, Dub, Bobby, and Billy Barbour of Sanford and two sisters, Mary Rogers of Sanford, and Rose Hause of Jessup, MD. She loved gardening and had an array of flowers and plants. She loved being outside watching the birds. She loved music. She spent much of her life singing and playing the guitar. She enjoyed playing her music for her local church and the residents at the nursing homes which she visited. She was a lifetime resident of Angier until her health declined and then moved in with her children. She was a faithful member of Beulah Baptist Church. She had a sweet and gentle spirit, and was a blessing to all who she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed.Please join us as we celebrate her life on Sunday, Nov.6, 2011 at Bryan -Lee Funeral home in Garner. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 pm prior to services beginning at 3. Internment will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Angier.The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Wake County.
