Margot Garcia

Margot Garcia passed away at Transitions Hospice Care on February 11, 2025.

Margot was born on June 10, 1933 in Santa Clara, Cuba to the late Ramon Rodriguez and Emelina Hurtado.

Margot was an entrepreneur that prior to retirement owned two retail gift shops in Tarpon Springs, Florida. She had been married twice: 24 years to her first husband, the late Emilio Guerra and 25 years to her second husband, the late E. Manuel Garcia.

The family cherished many happy memories from their time spent with Margot.

She is survived by her sister Augustina Carbonell, daughters Margie Gurley and Abby Guerra Capote and four grandchildren Nathania Beardsworth, Amanda Wilson, Jorge Capote, and Carmen Capote.

The family is hosting a visitation from 9am-11am on Tuesday February 18, 2025 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home located at 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27604. Following the visitation, chapel service will be held at 11:00am also located at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park Cemetery located at 7501 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.
