Marie Baker Alderman

GARNER- Marie Baker Alderman, 88, died Monday. Born in Durham County, she was the daughter of the late William Ragier and Ella Stephens Baker. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, 11:00 am at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include her husband, George (Bill) Alderman; daughter, Donna Betts of Wilson; step sons, Neil Alderman (Holly) and Scott Alderman (Suzanne) , all of Chapel Hill; sister, Janet Pilkington (Billy) of Wilmington;  brother, Sidney Baker of Raleigh; grandchildren, Clay, Morgan, Joshua and Jessica, as well as special niece, Gail Harris Burger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
