Marie Johnson Lucas

Marie Johnson Lucas, 83, peacefully went home to be reunited with her loving husband, James A. Lucas, Sr. and her Lord and Savior on November 12, 2014. She was born in Chapel Hill, NC to the late Willie and Annie Belle Johnson. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Entombment will follow in the family mausoleum at Montlawn Memorial Park. Surviving are sons, James Lucas (Dubba) and Ken Lucas (Dawn); daughter, Janie Lucas Timberlake; grandchildren, Adam Lucas and Carlton Timberlake; great-grandchildren, McKay Lucas and Asher Lucas; sister, Ellen J. Morgan (Billy) and brother, Bruce A. Johnson (Faye), as well as a large extended family. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. The family would like to extend a loving thank you to Brenda Traner, Linda Paschall, Rachel Owens and Amy Owens, who were Mama’s caregivers. We thank them for the quality of care and love added to our mom’s life. Flowers are graciously accepted or memorials may be made to Mt.
