Marie Josephine Sheehan

Marie J. Sheehan (Paonessa) formally of Newburgh, NY passed away this 2ndday of March 2024 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by her husband, James Sheehan in 2017, her parents Amedeo Paonessa and Marie (Rotundo) Paonessa, two children, infant son MJ Makarewicz and Mark S. Makarewicz, grandson, Christopher Mack, brother, Anthony Paonessa, sister-in-law, Madeline Paonessa, nephew, Michael Paonessa and brother-in-law, Ronald Jennings.

Surviving include her son, Steven Mack and his wife, Elizabeth (Porr) of Leland, NC, granddaughter, Stephanie Mack of Leland, NC, step-grandson, Jack Graziano of Newburgh, NY. Great-grandsons, Coltin Nelson and Rhys Schultz, step great-grandsons, Max and Ethan Graziano, sister, Filomena Jennings of Walden, NY and nephews, Ron, Gary, John, Anthony, Vinnie and Tommy, great-nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Megan, Laura, Sara, Caitlyn, Paul, Colin, Donna, Kristen, and Sara Marie.

Marie retired from St. Luke’s Hospital after 27 years in the finance department. She loved to knit, was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
