Marie Matthews

Garner – Marie Matthews, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2022, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Menkey Matthews. A graveside service will be held at James Wiley Matthews Cemetery in Momeyer, NC, on Friday, May 6 at 2:00PM. Survivors include her brother, Bernard Matthews (Betty); sister-in-law, Barbara Matthews; niece, Cathy Stevens; nephews, Tommy Matthews, Robert Matthews (Janet); great nephews, Christopher McLamb, Jonathan McLamb; great niece, Jessie Mathews; great great niece, Avery McLamb; great great nephews, Jacob, Bryce, Colin McLamb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kay Matthews. The family thanks the staff at Lawndale Manor for their care of Marie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Garner.
